Free and open source
claudetop is free. You can use it, copy it, change it and share it under the MIT License. That license is the legal agreement for the software; this page sums up what it means for you.
No warranty
claudetop is provided as it is, without any warranty. It's a hobby project made by one person, and the author isn't liable for any problems that come from using it.
What it changes on your computer
- If you let it connect to Claude Code, it adds hooks to
~/.claude/settings.jsonand keeps a backup of the previous file next to it. You can switch this off in its menu or by uninstalling. - Lock-in mode, if you turn it on, closes browser tabs whose title matches its list of adult sites. A closed tab can usually be reopened with Ctrl+Shift+T, but don't rely on Lock-in mode around anything you can't afford to lose.
- "Start with Windows" adds it to the programs that start when you sign in.
Not affiliated with Anthropic
claudetop is an unofficial fan project. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic, and Agent 47 and Hitman belong to IO Interactive; they're referenced here for fun.
